Welcome to Starling Learning

Starling Learning is an ecological consultancy, environmental education and conservation management agency. It was established in June 1996 and has five full time and five part time members of staff. We work mainly in Scotland but our work has also extended across the UK providing ecological and environmental education services.

Conservation Management

Increasingly we are working on practical conservation management projects. This work has included pond digging and enhancement for Otters at the Bishopton Royal Ordnance Factory for BAE Systems, wildflower meadows for East Dunbartonshire Council and bog enhancement for North Lanarkshire Council.

Environmental Education

Environmental Education work includes a programme of workshops for nursery, primary and secondary schools, the running of the environmental education programme for the RSPB at the Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve, helping schools with their Ecoschools programme on behalf of Renfrewshire Council and school playground enhancement for wildlife.

Wildlife Gardening

We offer this service to a wide range of customers including schools, local authorities, NGOs and to the public. This work has included wildlife ponds for several schools, wildflower meadows, creation of gardens for butterflies, bees and birds. We can also supply wildflowers.
